The School of Witcraft and Wizardry

To most Hogwarts is too big of a place. Well, it's a Castle designed to house many, many students and teachers. There are 4 houses on the grounds inside the castle. Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Though each Dorm is protected from entry from the other members. There are few that are allowed in all dorms. The Headmaster/HEadmistress, And Professors.

Area's around Hogwarts

The Dark Forest

The Dark Forest. First and Second years aren't allowed to enter without a Professor with them. The Dark Forest is to the Northwest of the entrance to Hogwarts. There's a small cottage outside to show the boundary of the Forest. The cottage is the grounds keeper Hagrid's place. Those who go past it will enter the Dark Forest.

The Quidditch Arena

The Quidditch arena is where the Teams of the houses play Quidditch. It's a brutal game according to well everyone who plays it. Few people have actually died playing this game. Though certain rules were set in place for the younger students who play Quidditch. The captains of each team should explain to the younger students about the game before they'd be allowed to even play.

The Lake

The lake around the South and East side of Hogwarts is home to many species of Fish, As well as a few other creatures. It's cautioned to go swimming in the deeper sections of the lake, And for most the forest around the lake is where the students learn about the Care of Magical Creatures.

Further more, If you travel the lake by boat, Past the mountians (Still on the lake.) You'll run into a little place owned by one of Ravenclaw's students. It's called "The Fenster Falls Rest STop"
